Outstanding capture, the amp sounds raw and aggressive yet very articulate with a huge ooomphhh... My favorite amalgam hi-gain capture...
The Mark IV is a mean machine – it stands out among the other Mark series amps with a very distinctively aggressive character that lends itself well for heavier genres.
Channel I and II give you two interesting takes on crunch tones, while channel III forks out the searing leads these are known for. It can be smooth and aggressive at the same time, which is a great combination.
The amp was tracked through a MES 4X12 cab with a V30 speakers, 2X Royer R121, 1X Beyerdynamic M16 and 1X Neumann U87 mics.
