This 50W class AB 6L6 based circuit is the amp that has defined what is most associated with “american tone”. It is best known for its legendary sparkly and slightly scooped tone, which is instantly recognizable and also works really well with pedals. It gets a nice break-up without the help of pedals and it sounds brighter and a bit scooped compared to the “british tone” camp.

This particular unit is almost 100% original with the exception that 2 of the power supply filtering caps have been replaced. The previous owner had rehoused it into a head, which makes it all the more practical for us.

It has been used by an endless list of artists, some notable names of which would be: Stevie Ray Vaughan, Mike Bloomfied, BB King, Muddy Waters, Robben Ford, Philip Sayce, Dereck Trucks, Ronnie Earl.

The capture set features captures of the Vibrato and Normal channel. The vibrato channel has a mid control and an additional gain stage due to the reverb recovery stage and the normal channel is bigger/fatter sounding.

The DI capture set includes 57 captures of the Vibrato and Normal channel and the following pedals for the drive and lead gain levels: BSB, 808, RAT, PAG, MIN and a KLN clone.

One of the most musical Fender Amp good for almost any kind of guitar

Magic with frequencies and responses. Exactly right amount of all electric guitar pickups spectrum. Great captures!

Now THIS is an amp

Have always loved this amp. Our lead guitarist in a band I was in used have one and I always would ask him if could play it. The V1 captures were very good but V2 sets a new standard. You will get nothing but Blackface Fender goodness from these captures!

Now THIS is Fender tone!

There were three captures that received "V2" upgrades and the upgrade of the Super Reverb is excellent. I remember being very excited seeing the V1 Super Reverb, which was one of Amalgam's early releases. Relative to other captures available at that time, it sounded great, but we have literally THOUSANDS more options here in early 2025. The V2 Super Reverb is a HUGE release with something like 46 captures, including three variations of Tubescreamer captures. If you felt V1 was a little "muffled", V2 has fully corrected that. The Super Reverb can sound "big", but also sparkle at the same time, and this capture is full of classic Fender Blackface tones.
