Awesome!
This feels so visceral and punchy! I’ve never played a real Hiwatt but have used York Audio’s IR’s with the Hiwatt in the Fractal universe so I have an idea of what it’s supposed to sound like. This is SO MUCH better!
This vintage british amp was built in 1975 and is entirely untouched – all original components throughout and running as good as ever. The CUT100 and CUT50 amps by HWTT have been a big part of electric guitar history and some of the biggest acts like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Tommy Bolin, The Who, King Crimson, Oasis and countless others.
These amps are known for the best clean tones attainable this side of the Sun. The cleans are well balanced, big, full, punchy and detailed at the same time. The dynamic range is second to none. The amp will cut through the mix extremely well
This amp also crunches up very nicely with a clear and unique voice. On top of that there is probably no other amp that takes pedals as well as these do. That has a lot to do with the unique phase inverter used by HWTT, which accounts for a much clearer tone than any other vintage tube amp.
The capture set includes 42 DI captures ranging from clean to lead tones. 6 IR’s are included with the set – 3 IR’s of an original 1975 HWTT cab with purple Fane speakers and MRSH Basketwaeve 4×12 cab with G12M25 75Hz Pulsonic coned peakers.

OMG...Now this is an AMP !!!
An amp made in '75 driven by my fingers which were also made in '75 and we have a match made in sonic heaven. From crystal cleans to gritty higher gain tones and the beautiful edge of breakup in between this amp does it all. Defined by clarity and a tight low end it cuts wonderfully through the mix. I must also add this is one of the best AA captures for pedals. I love this HiWatt set to edge of breakup with a Tube Screamer. Add some chorus and delay I get some killer Keith Scott inspired tones rolling my guitar's volume pot back and forth depending on the circumstance.
Glorious!
At first I didn't like the captures of this amp at all. Apparently it's been over a year already. A while ago I thought to try it and it is now my number one sound. Really versatile captures. Otherwise, this company really knows how to make a great impression as a rule. I think this is a really great amp.
